Courtney Schleifer – Head Coach

Coach Courtney Schleifer, a Tampa, Florida native and a proud mom to one son, brings extensive coaching experience and a deep passion for rowing to Manatee County Youth Rowing. A former high school state medalist and Division I athlete at the University of Central Florida, Courtney has dedicated her career to developing rowers at all levels, from middle school beginners to elite collegiate and masters athletes. She has led successful programs across Orlando, Tampa, and Oak Ridge, significantly expanding team rosters and achieving impressive competitive results.

As a Level 2 USRowing-certified coach, Courtney has guided multiple crews to podium finishes at the FSRA State Championships, USRowing Southeast Regionals, and even the World Coastal Rowing Championships. Her leadership extends beyond coaching—she has served as a regatta director, recruitment coordinator, and visiting teams organizer, ensuring the smooth operation of high-level competitions and training camps
