Our Masters program helps to support our Youth Rowing Program (High School and Middle School athletes).
Competitive or Recreational?
Our Masters Rowing program offers both Competitive and Recreational Rowing programs.
Is Prior Rowing Experience Required? NO
- Anyone who has an interest in rowing can try
- First Time Rowers – Try one of our “Learn To Row” classes. They are offered several times throughout the year.
Who Should Join?
MCYR Master’s program is open to all persons 18 years of age or older.
- Experienced Rowers and
- First Time Rowers
Experience and Knowledge of the sport is not required; we’ll teach you!
Rowing families are an integral part of the program’s success. We expect each family to volunteer at regattas and fundraising events in both the fall and spring seasons. Please use this link to log your volunteer hours.
We do offer group and private training if you would like more one-on-one with our coaches.

- Payment Options and links are listed below. If you are a member of Boathouse Row or have an athlete in the Youth or spouse in the Masters program, you are eligible for a 12% discount. Please note the equipment fee is automatically included in the annual or installment plans.

One Annual Payment
- $540 ($480 if you have family member already in Youth or Masters Program)
Practice Schedule
Sunday Mornings, time varies by season but generally starts between 6 and 7am.

What Athletes Should Bring To Practice:
- Flip flops or water shoes
- Running shoes with dry socks
- Towel
- Two (2) 7/16”, two (2) 10 mm and one (1) adjustable wrench
- Change of dry clothes
- Any needed medication including inhalers
- WATER! Each athlete is responsible to bring his or her own water each day. For health reasons, drinking from another rower’s water bottle with or without permission is prohibited.
Conditions of Membership
- Payment of Fees: Non-payment of fees can result in forfeiture of MCYR privileges
- Adherence to: MCYR policies and safety rules set forth in the handbook
- Volunteering: Volunteers are the basis of a successful program. Every athlete is expected to volunteer
- US Rowing Member: Every athlete must be in good standing with a signed waiver
